This group is for anyone who has experienced the pain of bereavement. We meet together for coffee and the opportunity to chat with those who have been through similar experiences.
We meet in the church lounge on the first and third Wednesday of the month between 10am and 12 noon.
The group is run in partnership with Co-operative Funeral Services. If you would like details of bereavement groups in other areas, please call Evelyn Rutter on 01206 797196 or 0800 0744362.
This is a monthly united Bible Study Group.
Some of the folk who come along belong to this church, some go to other churches in the town and some have no church connection.
Please check with the Church Secretary for dates.
We meet for coffee at 10am and then read/study between 10.30am and 11.30am in the lounge behind Maldon Baptist Church.
You get to the lounge by walking up the concrete path to the left of the church. At the end of the path there are red double doors and a concrete step to the left.
Go up the step and walk a few paces up the gravel track until you get to the metal fence.
Turn right at the metal fence and you will see the brown door to the lounge.
Everyone is welcome to come along for a good natter, a good lunch and a good laugh.
Lunch Break is open between 12 noon and 1.30pm in the small hall every Tuesday and Wednesday.
(We do, however, close the week before and the week after Christmas.)
We take our own packed lunch and buy a cup of tea, coffee or soup.
We also have a bric-a-brac stall. The money donated will go to help some of the vulnerable people living in desperate conditions in Bulgaria.
Everyone is invited to come for Sunday tea!
We provide the drinks and sandwiches; you bring along a small plate of goodies (sweet or savoury) for everyone to share.
We meet (and eat) in the church lounge from 4.30pm till 6pm.
This takes place during Lunch Break (see above) and on Worldwide Knit in Public Day (see forthcoming events).
We knit and crochet squares for blankets, tops, jumpers and cardigans for children and hats, gloves, scarves and socks for adults.
We knit all year round and the items are sent out to vulnerable people in Bulgaria when we send the Harvest for the Hungry food boxes in the Autumn.
We have needles and wool available for those who would like to help.
We host this project which is run by Churches Together in Maldon.
Tool Box is open every Thursday morning from 10am till 12 noon in the church hall
We receive unwanted tools, sewing machines and haberdashery items which are recycled so that they can be passed to the charity Tools With a Mission (TWAM).
TWAM receives requests from groups in Africa who need kits in order to be able to train young people so that they can earn an income to feed and educate their families.
We help prepare items for the kits that will be used to train future plumbers, carpenters, motor mechanics, engineers and dressmakers.
We welcome volunteers and unwanted tools and sewing machines!
